I am trying to be better about posting which books I’ve read and reviewed. From this genre, I’ve read and reviewed Unclean, Hexborn, She Dies at the End, She Lights Up the Dark, She Marches Through Fire, and She Sees in Her Sleep by A.M. Manay (yes, I’m a huge fan! lol), Good Sister, Bad Sister by Carol Marrs Phipp, Spirit of the Book by DE Howard, This Second Chance by DL Finn, Passion & Struggle and Treachery & Triump by John Fioravanti, Legend of the Walking Dead by Joy Nwosu Lo-Bamijoko, The Reluctant Prophet: A Love Story by Karl J. Morgan, Beyond the Hidden Sky by Marcha Fox, Mind-Shaft by S. Burke, The Dead Game by Susanne Leist, The Fall of Lilith by Vashti Quiroz-Vega, and Ferrasium and Lodestone: Book 1 – Witch Hunt by Wendy Scott. This is by far my favorite genre! 🙂

  5. I just finished and reviewed Son of the Serpent by Vashti Quiroz-Vega. Wow! I never read a story where the protagonist and antagonists are both demonic. Fascinating how she blended the tale with ancient religious tales like the Great Flood. Very well written, if you don’t mind the gore.

  9. My review of This Second Chance, by D.L. Finn
The supernatural meets the mortal in this tale of redemption. When Rachael marries Tony, she believes that life will only get better for her and her two children, but nothing could be further from the truth. Something doesn’t want them to ‘live happily ever after’, in fact, it doesn’t want them to live at all.
D.L. Finn does an excellent job of delving into some of our deepest fears and greatest hopes. At several points in the story, I found myself stuck at the crossroads between sympathy and contempt for some of the antagonists. To me, this is the mark of well-rounded characters.
