IT’S #RRBC RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS DAY! #RAOK

Dear Members!

Today, Tuesday, October 15th, we are hosting another RRBC “JAN HAWKE” RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS DAY!

For many of you who knew Jan Hawke, you instantly knew after only one interaction with her that she was a kind and very generous soul.  She always offered her time and resources to help everywhere, everyone and in any way that she could.

We honor Jan by showing that she left her mark on us in a big way and that we, too, can be kind and generous without expecting anything in return.

Details of this amazing event are listed below.

*Today you will select a member to bestow a random act of kindness upon.  (If you are compelled to do so, you may show random acts of kindness towards as many members as your heart guides you to).

Here at RRBC, that can be done in a number of ways:

-Send a virtual gift card for a cup of coffee, a floral arrangement to brighten someone’s day, or even a Walmart, Target or Amazon gift card with a little note that reads: “Do something nice for yourself today on me…” or something along those lines.  If you don’t have a fellow member’s email address to send them a virtual card or gift, you may gift RRBCInfo@gmail.com, along with the member’s name included in the gift and we will deliver the gift for you;

Contact Beem in the Reviews Dept. and ask that he take away a few of your reviews and give them to another member or members. You will lose those reviews, but hey, you would have given someone else in the club a head-start on their review-building.

-Pay for someone’s annual club membership renewal – especially now while it’s discounted!

-Purchase a NEW membership for someone who you think would benefit from, and be a good fit for the RRBC;

-Sponsor someone who’s interested in membership in RWISA by paying their application fee or even half of it;

-Purchase an RRBC and/or a RWISA tee-shirt in our current tee-shirt fundraiser for someone else.  Not sure how?  We can make the purchase for you simply reach out to us at RRBCInfo@gmail.com for more details;

-Profile a member that you don’t know very well on your site today, in promotion of their book.  (Be sure that any books you are spotlighting on your site are listed in the club’s catalog before you promote them using the club’s hashtags);

-Purchase a 4WillsPub Literary Gift Certificate for a member to use for a blog tour, book trailer or any number of literary services offered there. You may even purchase any of those items outright for them.  Make someone’s day by sending them on a virtual blog tour, gifting them with a book trailer or even purchasing a day of social media support for them.

As you can see, there are a number of ways that you can show random acts of kindness for your fellow RRBC book club members.  Be creative and think outside the box, but, whatever you do, do it from your heart.  Giving is always the best medicine and it always makes you feel so darned good!

If you are participating in RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS Day, please contact us at RRBCInfo@gmail.com and share who you showed a random act of kindness towards and how.

No one’s life is easy but there are some whose lives are just downright sad and extremely hard.  Let’s take time today to give or honor a few of our fellow members, just because. And, if you know that they’re in a struggle or you appreciate their service to others (members of our Tweet Support Teams are perfect examples here), then honor them…or, you could even select a member that you may not know very well from our online roster, and begin a new friendship!

Should you have any questions or need help in understanding the process of RRBC’s #RAOK Day, simply reach out to us at RRBCInfo@gmail.com.

Ready, set, let’s RAOK! (pronounced ROCK), RANDOMLY SHOW ACTS OF KINDNESS!
